Event Write-Up: Limbo

Limbo took place on Wednesday, April 23rd at lunch. The event began at 11:39. It ended at 11:52.

The final three were Khan from Period 4, Michelle from Period 5, and Chris from Period 2.

Michelle won second.

When Chris's friends asked him why he was so good at limbo, he jokingly replied that it was because of the food he was eating,which was teriyaki chicken and rice . :)

Tug-of-War

Tug-of-War is the tenth and final event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Tug-of-War takes place on Friday, May 2nd. It is being hosted by Period 2.
The rules for Tug-of-War are: Each period will have 8 players. Max of 5 guys and min of 3 girls. Crazy Man Mr Welch is usually given the high honor of starting each match. When the whistle is blown each team begins to pull and the team wins that pulls the rope across a certain point  (storm drain on grass in front of building 3. Winners will be determined by tournament play. Period Captains face off to determine Position for tourney by doing odds & evens.

Pictionary is the ninth event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Pictionary takes place on Thursday, May 1st. It is being hosted by Period 3.
The rules for Pictionary are:4 players, one draws the meaning of the word from the 182 Vocab words list plus more, The other three guesses. 3 points if current team gets it right. If the current team can not guess it right, the other teams can try and take the word for 1 point.

Triangle of Death

Triangle of Death is the eighth event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Triangle of Death takes place on Wednesday, April 30th. It is being hosted by Period 2.
The rules for Triangle of Death are: Period reps wearing period color will stand inside the triangle while all other classes surround the triangle. The outside classes will be given two balls to throw at the Period reps inside. If you are hit with a ball, you are out. The top 4 teams with the longest time advance to playoffs.
Team with best time will determine order of periods for playoffs.

Charades

Charades is the seventh even in the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Charades takes place on Tuesday, April 29. It is being hosted by Period 6.
The rules for Charades are: Vocab Words from Auto/Demo to the WWII will would be used. Approximately 182 words. No talking, 4 person team. 1 person acts the word out while the other 3 guess. If the current team gets it right then they get 3 points. Other teams watch silently and can guess after for 1 point.

Vocabulary Game

Vocabulary Game is the sixth event in the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Vocabulary Game takes place on Monday, April 28. It is being hosted by Period 6.
The rules for the Vocabulary Game are: Vocab Words from Auto/Demo to the WWII will would be used. Approximately 182 words. A describer would describe the word without the word being used in the definition. The guesser guesses the word, then the team will gain a point. Period with most points will win. Total of 4 players. 2 describers and 2 guessers.

Handball

Handball is the fourth event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Handball takes place on Thursday, April 24. It is being hosted by Period 3.
The rules for Handball are: Ball must bounce between each hit. Ball must touch the wall after a bounce. You may only hit the ball with your hands. No other part of body (besides hand) is allowed to touch the ball. Each player must move out of the way so their opponents may hit the ball. Stay in correct order. Vulgar language/ inappropriate conduct not allowed. You only lose if the opponents hit does not bounce before hitting the wall, or the ball bounces more than once. Last man standing wins.

Water Balloon Toss

Water Balloon Toss is the third event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Water Balloon takes place on Thursday, April 24. It is being hosted by Period 5.
The rules for Water Balloon Toss are: Each pair will get one balloon to share. Distance starts at 2 feet. NO HANDOFFS. As each balloon is tossed and caught, players take one step back. If balloon pops, team is eliminated. Last pair with balloon wins.

Pull-Ups

Pull-Ups is the second event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Pull-ups take place on Wednesday, April 23. It is being hosted by Period 4.
The rules for Pull-Ups are: Each player will step up to the pull up bar and do as many as possible. Their arms must extend fully and chin come over the bar to count as a full pull-up. Feet cannot touch ground or wall as support.

Limbo

Limbo is the first event of the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Limbo takes place on Wednesday, April 23. It is being hosted by Period 5.
The rules for Limbo are: A pole is held parallel to the ground while in a line, each player attempts to pass under the bar. After each player passes this height, it will be lowered. Players must bend backwards. No part of their bodies may touch the bar. If a player falls, touches the bar, or is unable to clear the bar, the player is eliminated. Last man standing wins.

This blog will focus on the 2014 P-Ville Olympics. Links to videos and picture slideshows will be uploaded here. I will try to get the lists of who is signed up for which events and the rules for each event.
